Group Manager

As a Group Manager, you strive to lead both your team and your profits. You have extensive experience both out on the field as well as handling the "business" side of geotechnical engineering. Engineers, technicians, and project managers look to you for mentoring both technically and in building client relationships. You know how to set the bar high and not only achieve that goal yourself - but bring others along with you. You are extremely hard working and strive to ensure that your team delivers the best quality. • Overseeing Team A office (DC/Arlington/Suburban Maryland)
• Leading and mentoring a team of technicians and project managers
• Overseeing geotechnical and field services projects
• Reviewing proposals for geotechnical engineering and field services projects
• Performing field services and geotechnical technical report reviews
• Managing departmental P&L
• Assisting senior staff in marketing ECS services by maintaining regular client contact
• Marketing and business development
• Assisting with recruiting and maintaining an adequate staff level

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program required
• 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience required, experience in the DMV market is a plus
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Principal designation would go a long way
