Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned) This position is available in either Pasadena, TX or the Bay Area, CA. This position is responsible for the implementation of major programs to include predictive maintenance program, water treatment program, transformer reliability program, incident investigation program, training program, catalyst program, and other similar major programs. For example, the PM program includes day to day management of the test and maintenance fleet services contractor(s), interpretation of the test results, and recommendations to Calpine Management and Calpine Engineering of critical items that are being monitored. Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. The programs managed by the Program Manager are to provide consistent implementation of the program throughout Calpine's Fleet, improving operational reliability and efficiency. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules develops solutions to program problems and ensures programs are consistently delivered and maintained. Provides technical guidance to other departments within Calpine. Provide technical leadership to both internal and external organizations and entities. Specialized Job Information This position is responsible for the implementation of the Catalyst Management Program. This program includes day-to-day management of the test and maintenance fleet services contractor(s), interpretation of the test results, and recommendations to Calpine Management and Calpine Engineering of critical items that are being monitored. Program includes defining, scheduling and implementing major maintenance activities on the catalyst systems including capital replacements. Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of the program. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. The programs managed by the Program Manager are to provide consistent implementation of the program throughout Calpine's Fleet, improving operational reliability and efficiency. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules develops solutions to program problems and ensures programs are consistently delivered and maintained.
