Job Description

Job Summary:

The maintenance technician will maintain everything mechanical inside the building with the exception of computers. Understanding the machinery and a maintenance schedule for them, keeping the schedule and maintenance records documented with ISO. Essential to the job is maintaining machines to a high standard required to meet the customer specifications. Effective communication with shop personnel is a must along with teamwork.

Job Requirements:

A minimum Associate's degree or 5 years working experience in maintenance of machinery are required. This position requires knowledge of both electrical and mechanical aspects of the machinery and use of computers, the understanding of machine Logic and components. Excellent communication skills and the ability to assist in cost savings and efficient procedures. Team player to facilitate the growth, safety and prosperity of the company.

MAIN RESPOSIBILITIES:

Including but are not limited to:

  1. General Machine Maintenance including Oil levels, filters, Drive belts, Heidenhain Glass Scales and Machine Cleanliness.
  2. Fill out necessary ISO 9001:2008 documents when applicable.
  3. Use of computers for Email and internet for parts search and other supplies.
  4. Contractor notification.
  5. Weekly update on Machine Issues List.
  6. Diagnose and Adjust/Repair machine issues in a timely manner.
  7. Monthly Spindle Bearing and Accuracy Checks.
  8. Spindle taper wear inspection.
  9. Forklift and shop truck maintenance
  10. Air Cleaners (AIR KINGS) filter replacement etc...
  11. Air Compressors, oil levels, filters and drive belts etc...
  12. Overhead Cranes, cables, controls etc...
  13. HVAC-Spring and Fall Inspections and preventive maintenance.
  14. Roofs and Drains
  15. Doors and Lighting, including Emergency Lighting.
  16. Operate Machines as qualified when needed.
  17. Help keeping the shop clean including garbage/recycling and restroom duties such as soap and assorted paper products.
  18. Loading and Unloading Trucks when necessary.
  19. Fire and Safety Inspections

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum Associate's degree (A. A.) or 5 years working experience, technical school preferred but not required; two years' experience in CNC machining in a manufacturing environment and 2 years of electrical experience within a machining environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to write reports, Ability to effectively present information.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry and algebra.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of problems.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 1

Excellent team player, troubleshooting abilities, and multi task.
