Patient Service Representative - Pediatric Surgical Care | MaineHealth

Location: Congress Street, Portland, Maine
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role:

We are seeking a dependable and customerfocused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Pediatric Surgical Care team in Portland. In this role, you will help ensure a positive experience for patients and families by managing incoming calls, coordinating referrals, and supporting daily administrative operations. Your work will play an essential part in keeping our care team informed and our patients supported.

What You'll Do:

  • Answer and direct incoming patient calls, providing assistance with scheduling, questions, and referrals
  • Support clinical staff by ensuring accurate and timely communication
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation in electronic health systems
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Previous office experience with medical office experience preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.
