Position Title: Associate I Payroll

Work Location: North Chicago IL 60064

Assignment Duration: 3+ Months (potential for extension and conversion)

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary: We need candidates specializing in "backend" payroll or after payroll has been processed.

Key Responsibilities: * Previous work with state agencies

* Work on tax notices, work with tax providers, power of attorneys, and 3rd party authorizations

* Has multi-state tax experience

* Microsoft Office Suites (Excel)

* Communication: Clear and effective communication

* Attention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of the project are thoroughly considered and executed

* First round virtual meeting then in-person meeting

* No flexibility with rate. * High volume work

* Solid foundation of payroll taxes- federal, state and Fica taxes

* Tax filing exp- payroll tax filing

* Attention to detail

* Fast paced

* Project exp- testing exp

Qualification & Experience:

* Previous work with state agencies

* Work on tax notices, work with tax providers, power of attorneys, and 3rd party authorizations

Education: High school with at least 2-3 years payroll tax experience

* Additional: * Team culture- Internal tickets communicating with outside tax vendors, testing, and attending meetings
