What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a Senior Transit Strategy Manager to support and advance the growth, positioning, and delivery of its Transit & Rail Market Sector. Reporting directly to the Director of Transit & Rail, this role combines market and client strategy leadership with hands-on project management responsibilities.

The Senior Transit Strategy Manager aligns transit strategy with successful project execution, serving as both a trusted advisor to clients and a day-to-day leader of transit and rail projects.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Support execution of GFT's Transit & Rail growth strategy.
  • Assist with go-to-market planning, pursuit strategy, and win themes.
  • Position GFT as a trusted advisor to public agencies.
  • Develop internal tools and best practices.
  • Participate in client presentations and industry events.
  • Serve as Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and risk.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Lead meetings and manage client communications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with transit agencies.
  • Support executive-level coordination.
  • Translate technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Mentor project managers and staff.
  • Support staff development.
  • Promote a collaborative team culture.
Education | Experience: What you will bring to our firm:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of transit or rail experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Strong communication skills.

What we prefer you bring:

  • FTA-funded project experience.
  • Business development experience.
  • PMP certification.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is is $189,000-$265,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
