As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post within a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will help maintain a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role is a driving position, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior, incidents, or hazards to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordinating with local authorities as directed.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by answering questions and directing them as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site-specific policies.
  • Follow all site-specific policies, procedures, and instructions provided by Allied Universal and/or client management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
