Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable Wire Services Associate to join our team. The Wire Cutter will be responsible for accurately cutting electrical wires and cables to specified lengths while maintaining high safety and quality standards. This role is essential to ensure our products are prepared efficiently for distribution and customer fulfillment.

Work Shift Hours: Mondayriday, 2 PM- until production is completed

Work Location: Onsite in Harrisburg, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Use wire cutting equipment to accurately measure and cut wire to specified lengths, following work orders or customer specifications
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including lengths, quantities, and product types through WMS and/or ERP transactions, including footage marking management
• Ensure proper labeling of product for easy retrieval
• Inspect wires and cables for defects, damage, or inconsistencies prior to cutting, and report any defects or discrepancies.
• Prepare materials for outbound shipments including picking, packing, shipping labels, packing lists, and staging.
• Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Receive incoming copper and aluminum wire shipments and verify their quantity and quality.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishing the inventory as needed.
• Maintain a high standard of quality assurance throughout the handling process.
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, coilers, spoolers, compartments, and A-frames.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in wire cutting, electrical distribution, or construction background preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical ability to handle wire coils and operate cutting equipment.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating wire lengths.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with exposure to electrical wires and machinery.
• May require standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Education/Training/Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
