SUMMARY:
Reporting to Chief of Emergency Medicine and working as part of the Emergency Department team, the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will participate in all aspects of care including diagnosis, treatment and disposition with a particular focus on compassionate and courteous service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Obtain patient histories s Perform comprehensive physical examinations to evaluate patients for admission s Perform bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures s Coordinate tests and consultations s Implement treatment plans which includes communicating with referring and consulting physicians Provide consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients and their family members ;color:redaboutstreatment and medical care s Prepare patients for discharge Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants is required or master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner's Program. s Current Massachusetts license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 1 year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care is required. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively alongside our Emergency Physicians. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Fast-paced, interactive, team-oriented Emergency Department environment with a diverse range of patients and pathology. INDEPENDENT ACTION: Responds to individual patient-care situations demonstrating knowledge and skills acquired through education, certification and work experience. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.

Pay Range:

$125,000.00-$158,593.75
