Description

Manages the public interest channel strategy and implementation for the OTC Naloxone business across geographically aligned states/territories. Responsible for growing Naloxone sales in state government, local government and non-profit accounts. Engages in advocacy to enhance harm reduction efforts and improve public access to naloxone, aligning these initiatives with business objectives to ensure a balance between social responsibility and business growth. Position reports to the Associate Director for Public Interest.

Note: This position is open to the following U.S. locations as a remote based role or can be a hybrid role with office time if located in the Grand Rapids, MI, Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN, or Piedmont, SC areas:

Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Arizona

Padagis estimates total compensation (base salary plus incentives) for this position to fall on or about $140,000.00 per year for the Manager level and $175,000.00 for the Senior Manager level, depending on experience, qualifications, and job performance.

Job duties:



  • Work collaboratively with Associate Director- Public Interest, National Director- Public Interest and cross-functional teams to execute regional business plan(s) and strategy for expanding naloxone's presence in geographically aligned states/territories.
  • Manage sales execution and partnerships directly with government entities, non-profit organizations and harm reduction organizations, optimizing access and coverage.
  • Identify and target decision-makers and key-opinion leaders to unlock opportunities within target states.
  • Assists with the preparation, submission, and execution of Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and contracts with government entities collaboratively with the Associate Director- Public Interest.
  • Develop direct relationships with government entities and partners to maximize awareness of Padagis and collaborate on solutions to improve access of naloxone.


    • Actively participate in state public health initiatives, collaborating with public health agencies to advocate for programs that support naloxone distribution and awareness.
    • Assist with analysis of market trends, policy changes, and public health data to inform strategic decisions, and influence state policies to support naloxone distribution and use.
    • Guide prospective and new accounts through Padagis Direct ecommerce portal.




Required qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 6 (manager) or 8 (senior manager) years of experience in a Pharma/OTC sales role within government/public interest. Relevant state government work directly related to Naloxone may substitute for sales experience.
  • Experience with contract negotiations.
  • Strong network across government agencies including but not limited to: public health departments, state procurement offices, SAMHSA and Harm Reduction Agencies.
  • Ability to travel 30% - 40% of the time (overnight).
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills -- ability to read sales reports and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Demonstrated success in relationship management with key stakeholders, from all levels, to grow reach and influence
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Commitment to and/or demonstrated success in teamwork, sales skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, time management, emotional intelligence, and adaptability/flexibility


Preferred qualifications:



  • Understanding of the public interest influence channels for naloxone.
  • Wholesale/Distributor account management experience.
  • Background in advocacy - patient, legislative or other advocacy disciplines.
