Communication Specialist IV - Account Manager
Long-term W2 contract (approximately 3 years)
Hybrid role (on-site 3 days per week after onboarding) based in either Raleigh or Charlotte, NC.

Position Summary
The Communications Consultant - Account Manager is responsible for managing the development and execution of communications projects to ensure message and brand consistency and alignment with corporate strategies. This includes marketing and brand campaigns, promotion of products and services, and leveraging strategies across multiple channels.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the Account Manager and key communications strategist, advisor, and coordinator for advertising, brand, and creative communications initiatives.
Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of communications plans based on client needs and business objectives.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support planning and evaluation processes.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients on communications projects.
Develop and manage project plans, including schedules and budgets.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through a deep understanding of client business goals, customers, and challenges.
Maintain open and effective communication, including appropriate in-person engagement and meeting participation.
Collaborate closely with creative teams (copywriters, designers) to ensure work is on-strategy, high quality, timely, and cost-efficient.
Follow established workflows and processes.
Partner with digital communications teams to enhance online marketing channels and ensure adherence to processes.
Be available to support after-hours crisis or emergency communications as a secondary Account Manager for limited periods during the year.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, English, or a related field
8+ years of account management experience
Experience in advertising, branding, and marketing communications
Strong analysis and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience producing integrated campaigns (e.g., print, video, digital, social media, radio)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint)
Experience using a work management system (e.g., Workamajig or similar)
Ability to resolve communications issues with clients and stakeholders
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Experience providing strategic communications counsel
Comfort working in a highly matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to tie communications strategy to measurable business outcomes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple stakeholders
Self-motivated with minimal supervision
Industry-specific experience is a plus
Familiarity with Kanban or similar workflow methodologies is a plus
Additional Information
The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $48.03-$49.60 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
