Maintenance Technician Experienced Location: Bedford,PA Shift: 3rd shift: 11pm - 7am (S-R) Shift Premium elegible + 2 weeks PTO +Subsidized healthcare starts day 1 Purpose of the position: Perform predictive/preventive maintenance analysis to anticipate and circumvent equipment failures, enhancing uptime and reducing costs Knowledge and experience:
- High School diploma or GED;
- Preferred Bachelor's degree with focus in Electrical or Controls Engineering;
- 5-10yrs years' experience preferred as CNC Maintenance Technician;
- Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls;
- Preferred knowledge SAP-PM and Step 7;
- Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components.
Key Job Responsabilities:
- Has full proficiency in a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) through job-related training and considerable work experience;
- Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience;
- Typically has specialized external certification;
- Guides and supports junior team members; may assist in their formal orientation and training;
- May have specialized external certification;
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical);
- Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield;
- Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance);
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems;
- Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures;
- Prepare for new/relocated equipment installations by sizing, wiring, piping, ventilation, etc. according to incoming equipment requirements;
- Receive, rig, unload, transport, install, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine tune new/relocated equipment;
- Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on existing equipment;
- Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts that may be needed to complete the repair;
- Interface with and assist outside contractors, OEM's and Technology Process Support groups, in all attempts to install new and repair or upgrade existing processes;
- Safely handle hazardous materials and hazardous wastes;
- Interface with in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to show status of work and time spent on job.
