Description
The Talent Specialist 2 plays a critical role in supporting designated business areas by managing the full talent acquisition lifecycle. This includes leading recruitment efforts for advanced and technical roles, guiding hiring managers through the process, and driving strong recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill and time-to-hire. The role also involves managing vendor relationships (e.g., LinkedIn), leading strategic talent initiatives, and ensuring alignment with key functional areas. Additionally, the Talent Specialist 2 supports talent acquisition project management and maintains thorough documentation. This position is essential to advancing the credit union's strategic plan, vision, and mission by building a strong Summit team and culture.
Expected Outcomes
- Lead recruitment for technical and advanced roles to attract and retain top talent, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process, collaborating with department managers to update job descriptions, create postings, screen applications, and select qualified candidates.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEOC guidelines.
- Represent Summit Credit Union and the HR Department professionally, promoting a positive and open image.
- Lead strategic talent initiatives and manage vendor relationships (e.g., LinkedIn), ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Foster meaningful relationships with employees to enhance engagement and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Support talent acquisition project management and maintain accurate documentation of processes and outcomes.
Capability Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (HR coursework preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing all phases of recruitment and hiring.
- Ability to apply policies and guidelines diplomatically and professionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction across all organizational levels.
- Strong critical thinking skills to support decision-making and innovative solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); HRIS experience preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Skilled in managing multiple HR projects simultaneously with timely completion and effective communication.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior HR staff, fostering collaboration and team success.
Additional Position Details:
- Physical Demands of Position: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk, use hands and fingers. The employee occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and lift/push/pull and /or carry up to 10 pounds.
- Environmental/Working Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches requires exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions.
- Equipment Used: Variety of office equipment (telephone, printer, pc, mobile devices, etc.).
