  • Lead new product introduction of optical systems by collaborating with development, operations, and contract manufacturing teams.
  • Evaluate and optimize design specifications to ensure cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and quality.
  • Drive component qualifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development.
  • Review and refine product test plans, manufacturing process flows, and implement engineering change orders as needed.
  • Partner with process engineers and manufacturers to enhance yield and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for production or field failures.
  • Monitor, report, and summarize product yields and work-in-progress metrics to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings to track process efficiencies and product yield enhancements.

Must-Have:

  • BSEE/Physics degree; advanced degree preferred
  • 1+ years of experience with complex, high-speed optical systems
  • Hands-on experience with high-speed optical and electrical test equipment
  • Proficient with statistical analysis and understanding of process flow
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams

Nice-To-Have:

  • Knowledge of embedded processors, FPGAs, and DSPs
  • Experience with MES systems such as SAP
  • Background in change controls and product testing methodologies
  • Skills in cost reduction initiatives and alternative sourcing
  • Ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes
