Overview As a Sr. Systems Analyst- Server & Storage Lead where you'll work with a team of IT professionals who are passionate about maintaining a highly resilient and dependable IT infrastructure. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Directs Managed Service Provider (MSP) teams responsible for supporting Windows and Linux based server and storage systems.
- Oversees technical installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Windows and Linux server operating systems. This includes tracking and administrative support of server hardware and software lifecycles. Supports vendor troubleshooting when operational issues arise.
- Drives audit and compliance reporting follow-ups to ensure that deliverables are timely, complete and accurate. Leads MSP reviews to ensure that tasks, incidents and changes are properly qualified, and issues are resolved and closed in a timely manner pursuant to SLAs.
- Implements enhanced server and storage system monitoring reviews of system performance. Evaluates best options for tool upgrades and reports on system metrics to demonstrate adherence to service levels.
- Collaborates with apps and business owners and coordinates upgrades for server, storage and software vendors including Nutanix, Microsoft, Oracle, Cohesity, VMWare, Hashi Corp, Dell EMC and other business partners engaged in providing ConEd with system maintenance and optimization services.
- Works with business owners and applications teams to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of infrastructure systems. Directs remediation procedure reviews, testing guidelines and performance tuning measures.
- Champions server and storage KPI reviews, DR testing support with proactive communications to IT and business audiences.
- Directs and develops server and storage system policies, system hardening, and best practice recommendations.
- Engages with applications teams and cyber-SMEs and other support teams to ensure prompt response, resolution, analysis, trending, and root cause analysis during outage situations. Oversees the coordination and activation of incident response follow-ups to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Stays current with new technologies and vendor products making best practice recommendations to automate server build, deployment and operational readiness programs.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology. and 2 years of relevant work experience. or
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology. and 3 years of relevant work experience. or
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology. and 4 years of relevant work experience. or
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology. 2 years of relevant work experience.
Relevant Work Experience
- Experience building and managing Windows, Oracle & RedHat based server systems and architectures required.
- Hands on designing and operating high availability compute and storage environments required.
- Experienced working along engineering and operations teams managing KPIs and metrics, required.
- Demonstrated results implementing new technologies, reducing cyber security risks, and improving system resiliency, required.
- Experienced as a systems administrator for Windows and/or Linux systems with background in cloud, server, storage, network infrastructure and automation tools/systems, preferred.
- Experienced working in an operations environment is a plus.
- Experienced in managing high availability server & storage systems and platforms, preferred.
- Strong system administrative experience overseeing patching and vulnerability management tasks, preferred.

Additional Physical Demands
