The Role:

The Cage Cashier accurately and promptly handle all money transactions for guests and team members. In addition to providing outstanding guest service to internal and external guests.

Responsibilities:



  • Attend and participate in company and departmental meetings.
  • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
  • Redeem and sell chips.
  • Process Tito tickets by validating and redeeming value.
  • Validate and settle Slot machine jackpots and cancel credit payouts.
  • Issue table chip fills and table credits.
  • Efficiently make exchanges of funds for team members.
  • Promptly cash guests out, give correct change, and answer guest questions in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Appropriately use all related equipment and cash handling systems.
  • Keep cash drawer balanced and in compliance.
  • Count and verify team member tips/tokes.
  • Appropriately sort and stack chips.
  • Review operational data and complete and verify paperwork.
  • Verify and document personal identification information for appropriate transactions.
  • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards and internal controls.
  • Troubleshoot problems and come up with workable solutions.
  • Track and complete all government reporting.
  • Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine guest complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Gaming industry experience is preferred.
  • 2 years of high-volume cash handling experience, preferred.
  • Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Louisiana Gaming License.
