POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, is responsible for the management and coordination of work projects for the ongoing maintenance of the buildings of the Medical Center. Work involves the regular inspection of facilities for repair and maintenance purposes, the planning of work required, and estimates of material costs and man hours required. A liaison is maintained with all departments to ensure that their support service needs are met in these areas. Administrative supervision is exercised over maintenance staff in the Department of Facilities Management.

Schedule: Full Time Days (7:30a - 4:30p)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Maintenance and Operations:



  • Managing routine maintenance schedules for building systems like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.
  • Coordinating repairs and maintenance with contractors.
  • Responding to emergency maintenance issues.



Compliance and Safety:



  • Ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal healthcare facility regulations.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and addressing safety concerns.
  • Managing hazardous materials and waste disposal.
  • Implementing and maintaining emergency preparedness plans.



Construction and Renovation Projects:



  • Planning and managing facility renovation or expansion projects.
  • Working with architects, engineers, and contractors during construction phases
  • Overseeing project budgets and timelines



Budget Management:



  • Developing and managing the facility maintenance budget
  • Negotiating contracts with vendors and contractors
  • Tracking expenses related to facility operations.



Staff Supervision:



  • Leading and supervising a team of maintenance technicians, and other facility personnel.
  • Providing training and performance evaluations
  • Scheduling staff and assigning tasks



Technology Management:



  • Monitoring and maintaining building automation systems.
  • Implementing new technology solutions to optimize facility operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS



REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in healthcare facility management, including maintenance practices and regulatory compliance; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field; if BA, only 3-5 years of experience required.

Compensation Range:

$83,000.00- $120,500.00

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
