STS Aviation Group is hiring a Software Developer (Remote) to support enterprise software development initiatives across the organization. This position sits within the Information Technology department and reports directly to the Director of Software Development.

This is a fully remote role.

The Software Developer supports custom software development, database programming, and application integrations that power business operations across the enterprise. This role operates in a fast paced, agile environment and is ideal for someone who is motivated to continuously learn and grow technically.

• College or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
  
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and expand technical skill sets
  

• Exposure to .NET, MVC, and MVC Web API
  
• Exposure to AngularJS, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
  
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud technologies
  
• Exposure to HTML5, CSS, and responsive design patterns
  
• Exposure to developing AI powered applications and agents
  
• UI and UX design pattern experience preferred
  
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL based database platforms
  
• Business Intelligence knowledge, preferably with Microsoft BI tools including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS
  
• Exposure to NoSQL platforms, preferably CosmosDB
  
• Exposure to JSON and XML serialization, deserialization, and storage
  
• Familiarity with consuming API data using REST and SOAP
  
• Exposure to Linux operating systems, NodeJS experience preferred
  
• Strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts
  
• Strong understanding of relational database design and querying concepts
  
• Familiarity with Git version control systems

• Subject to overtime provisions under the Fair Labor Standards Act
  

• Report directly to the Director of Software Development
  
• Work with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain applications and services
  
• Assist in collecting and documenting user requirements, user stories, and estimates
  
• Prepare reports, manuals, and documentation related to software systems
  
• Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
  
• Participate in peer reviews and pair programming exercises
  
• Assist with migrating legacy applications to modern technologies
  
• Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications
  
• Analyze and resolve technical and application issues
  
• Deliver high quality solutions on time and within budget
  
• Provide support to internal business users
