In this influential role, you will be a trusted advisor and financial steward to the Division's leadership team, directly shaping the future of a mission-critical business focused on national defense and precision systems. You won't just report numbers; you will be instrumental in optimizing financial models, assessing macro-economic impacts, and making critical strategic decisions that guide the business's profitability, compliance, and sustained growth.

Key Exciting Responsibilities
  • Strategically Partner with business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to optimize financial models and guide critical decisions that shape the future of the defense division.

  • Drive Financial Integrity by overseeing complex monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring strict compliance with US GAAP, SEC, and SOX reporting standards.

  • Lead Federal Contract Compliance by coordinating proposal submissions, managing rates and factors, and ensuring adherence to complex government regulations (FARs, DFARs, Certified Cost & Pricing Data).

  • Pioneer FP&A Excellence by leading monthly and quarterly business reviews, applying insightful qualitative judgment to quantitative analysis to drive the quality and predictability of forecasts.

  • Champion Operations Efficiency by managing inventory, overseeing inventory turns, and optimizing high-value WIP and material variance accounting and scrap strategy.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven expertise in ensuring the integrity of financial statements through rigorous controls and strict compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.

  • Substantial experience in financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and developing annual budgets in collaboration with management teams.

  • Demonstrated strategic business partnering, providing counsel on major business decisions and supporting the achievement of economic and strategic objectives.

  • Experience overseeing or coordinating Federal contract compliance, including familiarity with FARs, DFARs, and managing certified cost & pricing data.

  • Track record of inspiring and leading teams, fostering talent development, and enhancing process efficiency (e.g., revenue recognition, pricing).

Bonus Points For:
  • Prior experience in finance for a business operating within the defense, aerospace, or advanced systems industry.

  • Deep knowledge of inventory accounting and management best practices, including cycle counts and WIP variance.

  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration on digital transformation initiatives and reporting best practices.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
