Job Description

The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Manager will oversee the administration and optimization of Vertex University's LMS platform, Cornerstone OnDemand. This role ensures seamless delivery of learning programs by managing system configurations, resolving technical issues, and partnering in the implementation of new releases. The position plays a critical role in supporting Vertex's learning strategy and enhancing user experience across the organization.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Cornerstone OnDemand, managing system configurations and ensuring data integrity
  • Partner with stakeholders in development of custom and automated LMS reporting
  • Advise on best practices for learning assignments and data collection
  • Oversee and resolve LMS-related tickets, providing timely and effective solutions to internal stakeholders
  • Lead planning and execution of LMS upgrades and new releases, including testing and communication of changes
  • Collaborate with IT and HR teams to integrate LMS with other enterprise systems and maintain compliance standards
  • Develop and maintain documentation for LMS processes, workflows, and best practices
  • Monitor system performance and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Cornerstone support for escalated issues
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on LMS functionality and enhancements
  • Ensure adherence to Vertex's governance and security protocols for learning systems
  • Partner with colleagues in GxP and compliance domains to ensure LMS GxP-compliance

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep expertise in Cornerstone OnDemand administration and configuration
  • Strong understanding of LMS workflows, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
  • Excellent project management skills for handling upgrades and releases
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS integration

Education and Experience

  • Requires 5+ years of experience in LMS administration, with at least 3 years focused on Cornerstone OnDemand with relevant certifications
  • Prior experience managing system releases and ticket resolution in a corporate learning environment

Pay Range:

$119,700 - $179,600

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

1. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
