What You'll Do Day-To-Day

    All Technicians are expected to demonstrate competency in the core areas of Safety; Quality and Procedural Compliance; Productivity; Attendance/Availability; Qualifications Maintained; and specific skills appropriate to the Technician's training.
  • Ceramics Technician: Increased proficiency in Technician I tasks. Learn three additional skills: Advanced grinder, Raymond, BT Carts, OJTI, Bowl Cleanout, Pellet Vaults, Advanced Press, BPP bake out, CCKC.
  • Rods Technician: Increased proficiency in Technician I tasks. Receives OJT to learn four separate workstations which may include Line 1 Upset Shape Welder, Line 2 Upset Shape Welder, Hand-rider Trucks.
  • Bundles Technician: Increased proficiency in Technician I tasks. Receives OJTI to learn workstations and skills which may include BWR/PWR Bundle Packaging, Forklift Qualification, Bundle Inspection Station, BWR/PWR Assembly Final Inspection.
  • UCAR Technician: Receives OJT to learn multiple stations including Drum Tumbling, Bucket Tumbling, Sampling Containers, Deconning Drums & Buckets, Sealing Containers, BT Carts.
    Production Support Technician in UCAR: Receives OJT to learn multiple stations which may include Between Building Container Movement and Storage, Forklift, Deionized Water Process, Handling and Downloading NPC Shipping Containers, Hydrogen Generator.
  • SURF Technician: Receives OJT to operate two of the following workstations: MERF, SURF Dissolution, SURF Raffinate, Scrap Download, SWUR.
    Waste Area Technician: Receives OJT to learn UO2 Waste compaction, Waste Assay System, Volume Reduction Facility, Waste Handling Movement and Storage, and Waste Segregation and Packing.
  • Component Center Technician: Increased proficiency in Technician I tasks. Receives OJT to learn Pickling Process, PLFR FRA & Spring Sleeve Assembly, BWR/PWR Braze Assay, Deburring.
    Work duties may require alternate shift assignments.


What You'll Bring

  • High School diploma or equivalent education with a minimum of 1 year of related experience is required.
    • Qualifications on specific Product Center equipment may substitute for years of experience.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Inspection techniques (e.g., visual, dimensional, non-destructive testing).
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and workplace safety protocols.

  • Salary: $27.50 - $29.50 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
