Job Description

Position Summary:
The Manager of Alumni Engagement is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive engagement strategies to foster meaningful relationships with alumni, students, and university stakeholders. This role combines event management, volunteer coordination, and strategic communication to enhance alumni involvement and support the university's mission.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead alumni engagement and Section Event planning on and off campus, including travel and logistics. This role requires the ability and willingness to travel (including overnight) and work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Plan and manage Career Fair Breakfast, Post-Career Fair Social, Student Send-Offs, and alumni section events
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies for a diverse alumni base
  • Advise and support the Student Alumni Council (SAC) and Young Alumni Council (YAC) in promoting awareness of the Miner Alumni Association
  • Support the Miner Alumni Association (MAA) Board of Directors, Executive Board and its committees as assigned
  • Coordinate volunteer engagement and recognition programs and manage (MAA) student awards
  • Assist with various campus events including but not limited to: Grad Fiesta, Homecoming, St. Pat's, Philanthropy Week, Scholarship Thank You events, and Golden Alumni Reunion Collaborate with donor relations and event personnel to ensure high quality events
  • Collaborate with university departments to support alumni and student related initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to alumni engagement activities
Shift

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, some weekends and evenings.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in alumni relations, event planning, or related fields
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across departments
  • Experience with volunteer coordination and student engagement is preferred
  • Familiarity with university systems and alumni engagement tools is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms
  • Supervisory experience with staff, students, or volunteers is preferred
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,916 - $68,162 annually.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
