Job Description

The Opportunity

The Department of Humanities and Communication at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Campus, invites applications for an associate or full professor position who will also serve as the chair of the department. This is a full-time, 12 month position, with a preferred start date of July 2026.
The Department of Humanities and Communication is currently home to 10 full time faculty members, and is tasked to deliver a large number general education courses in service of all majors on campus.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who 1) have a strong record of teaching at a STEM university; 2) have prior administrative experience; 3) incorporate undergradue students in their research; and 4) are collaborative team players.
A Ph.D. in Writing Studies, Rhetoric and Composition, Technical and Professional Writing, Communication, or related fields is required.
