About the Job

This position is part-time and will support the teaching mission of the Supply Chain and Operations Department. Courses taught could include the following at both the undergraduate and graduate levels: Project Management; Service Management; Introduction to Operations Management; Supply Chain Planning and Control, Supply Chain and Operations Strategy; Technology in the Supply Chain; Business Statistics; Sourcing; Quality Management and Six Sigma; Lean, etc. Courses are offered during the day as well as evenings and Saturdays. Duties and responsibilities include course material preparation (i.e., syllabus, handouts, homework assignments, quizzes, exams, etc.); textbook selection, course delivery, evaluation of students, record keeping, management/supervision of teaching assistants, office hours, etc.

Qualifications

Teaching Specialist - Bachelor's degree plus 3 years teaching experience in a closely related field.

Senior Teaching Specialist - Bachelor's degree plus 6-8 years teaching experience in a closely related industry and/or academic field, of which 4 or more years must be formal teaching.

Lecturer - Terminal degree OR Master's degree plus 5 years of related industry and/or academic experience.

Senior Lecturer - Terminal degree plus 10 years of related industry and/or academic experience OR Master's degree plus 15 years of related industry and/or academic experience. Previous college-level teaching is preferred.

About the Department

The Supply Chain and Operations Department consists of 12 faculty members committed to excellence in the full range of academic responsibilities within Supply Chain and Operations. The teaching mission of the department includes undergraduate, graduate, and executive education.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: This position is paid $3,200 per credit with the total payment dependent on the number of credits assigned to the instructor. Course assignments will be made depending on education/qualifications/experience.
