A Senior Systems Administrator job in Cincinnati, OH or Indianapolis, IN is currently available at Belcan supporting one of our key manufacturing clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or any related field and 4+ years of professional experience.

As a Zscaler Security Administrator you will be responsible for administering and supporting Zscaler cloud security solutions (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX etc.) for designated client environments.
This role focuses on policy administration, system monitoring, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure secure and compliant connectivity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX), Zero Trust cybersecurity principles, and experience in managing cloud-based security platforms in enterprise settings, strong communication skills, and a service-oriented approach to security operations.
Job Duties:
*Manage, configure, and support ZIA/ZPA policies, web filtering, URL categorization, firewall and SSL inspection.
*Troubleshoot internet access, authentication, application access, and performance issues
*Analyze ZIA/ZPA logs to identify traffic patterns, anomalies, and threats.
*Configure and manage GRE/IPSec tunnels and PAC files.
*Handle escalations related to content filtering, SSL decryption, and bandwidth control.
*Integrate ZIA/ZPA with identity providers (Azure AD, Okta, SAML, LDAP).
*Optimize ZIA/ZPA policies based on security best practices and business needs.
*Manage and monitor Zscaler App (Z-App) deployment, updates, and health status.
*Deployment, Maintenance, & Troubleshooting of Agents/ZCC on all endpoints
*Manage, configure, and support ZIA/ZPA policies, web filtering, URL categorization, firewall and SSL inspection.
*Troubleshoot internet access, authentication, application access, and performance issues
*Policy Administration Maintain and update Zscaler security policies, access controls, and authentication settings (e.g., SAML / SSO). Ensure alignment with organizational standards and compliance frameworks.
*System Monitoring & Reporting Continuously monitor Zscaler dashboards for alerts, anomalies, and performance metrics. Provide clients with regular reports on threat activity, usage trends, and compliance status.
*User Support & Issue Resolution Provide user support for Zscaler-related issues. [KS1] Collaborate with IT teams to resolve connectivity, access, and policy-related problems. Escalate complex issues as needed.
*Documentation & Change Management Maintain detailed documentation including configuration records, troubleshooting guides, network diagrams, and change logs. Ensure all updates follow change management protocols.
*Client Engagement & Coordination Participate in client meetings, status calls, and planning sessions. Communicate technical updates, policy changes, and recommendations clearly and professionally. Liaise with client IT teams, cybersecurity personnel, and vendors to ensure smooth operation and integration of Zscaler solutions. Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions.
*Compliance & Audit Support client compliance initiatives by ensuring Zscaler configurations align with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, GDPR). Assist with audit preparation and evidence collection.
*Platform Maintenance & Updates Stay informed about Zscaler product updates and coordinate implementation of new features or integrations. Recommend improvements based on evolving security needs and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or any related field.
*Minimum 4 years in IT security administration
*Hands-on experience managing Zscaler or similar cloud-based platforms is essential, preferably in a client-facing or MSSP environment.
*Familiarity with ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX configuration and management
*Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP / IP, DNS, VPN, SSL / TLS, CA)
*Knowledge of identity provisioning, and work experience in the same (e.g., Azure AD, SAML / SSO, MFA)
*Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Sentinel) and endpoint protection platforms (e.g., Sophos)
Preferred Qualifications:
*Zscaler certifications (ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA) or equivalent security credentials preferred.
*Knowledge of Sentinel, SAML, MFA, DNS, Sophos, SIEM Tools, SSL, Zscaler, SSO, VPN, Azure AD, TLS, PKI, and LDAP
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $95K-140K per year, however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
