Job Description




As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Team Lead in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming environment for all. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies while responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the auto facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for unusual conditions.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or vendors, providing assistance and information as required.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities using Allied Universal protocols and reporting tools.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points within the location.
  • Remain alert to environmental and operational conditions specific to the auto industry location, escalating concerns as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
