Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrols in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the healthcare location, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients to address questions, provide information, or offer assistance as needed.
  • Follow post orders and protocols specific to the healthcare environment, maintaining awareness of surroundings and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site staff to support security-related operations and contribute to a positive atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
