Security Officer - Armed Retail Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Driver in Harlingen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service while patrolling a dynamic retail location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, offering a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will engage with the public, respond to incidents, and be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a retail environment while providing excellent customer service.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other prohibited activities.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and provide assistance to customers, staff, and visitors as appropriate.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required.
• Maintain proper handling and control of assigned firearm according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A current armed guard card or license is required.
• You must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
• Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
