Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a VP of Operations to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of an organization. This role ensures that business operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with strategic goals. The VP of Operations collaborates with other executives to drive performance, optimize processes, and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish productivity expectations to ensure assigned program achieves financial and contract targets. Identify opportunities for further operational effectiveness through process improvement, redesign, automation, etc.
  • Direct and oversee the development of annual operational budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial targets across departments such as logistics, production, and customer service. Responsible for full P&L driving efficiency, revenue, and overall operational success
  • Provide leadership, expertise and project management skills to drive unprecedented success in revenue growth. Provide clear, direct communication to operational directors and other management to ensure consistent understanding of business opportunities, resource needs and profitability goals
  • Comply with contractual requirements within the operation by monitoring critical indicators, deliverables and budgets. Continually evaluate priorities to determine if they are consistent with customer(s) objectives
  • Identify strategies for product opportunities to support business growth and to capitalize on market changes
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key market influencers to support the acquisition of new business
  • Participate in contract management strategy sessions, customer visits/presentations, and renewal activities Identify and engage in "Up-Selling" opportunities to current customers. Identify, initiate, and support project initiatives that add value to the operations. Act as resource, demonstrating the value of Acentra Health's healthcare suite of products/services
  • Lead initiatives to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, including new product development, up-selling to existing clients, and responding to RFPs. Build trusted relationships with key market influencers and participate in contract strategy sessions
  • Make presentations to senior management on independent review organization initiatives, appeals, and line of business strategic growth
  • Drive and support a "one-company" orientation collaborating with partners across the entire organization, e.g., operations, human resources, IT, business development, data warehouse, contract compliance, etc. Perform cross-regional activities that enhance operating efficiencies
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA, URAC, and Acentra's Privacy and Security Rules

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business administration, public health, nursing, health information administration, or related field required
  • Position requires work experience in a complex, competitive environment with diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic factors
  • 5+ years of experience in program management within the healthcare industry
  • 3+ years of commercial account management experience
  • Experience with contract administration functions
  • Strategic thinking related to growth and overseeing a large book of business
  • Experience with new software solutions
  • Innovative background that will lead to pushing for automations and process improvements utilizing technology
  • Ability to drive teams in a heavy growth environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Program management, development and implementation for clinical area - i.e., appeals
  • Business development, strategic planning and tactical implementation
  • Public or commercial sector health plan management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications and common computer and office hardware and software functions
  • Management-counsel, plan and train, while managing various staffing patterns
