What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized persons and/or activities on the premises.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or government staff while representing Allied Universal.
• Follow post orders and other instructions provided by Allied Universal and location management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State security guard license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
