Job Description




As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrols Full-Time in Aurora, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol tech-focused locations to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine walking tours, remain visible to support a secure environment, and respond to alarms or incidents as needed. You will also provide excellent customer service and communication with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to provide customer service to clients and visitors in a technology and media environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and permissions for individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
