Job Title: Configuration Technician Entry-Level \| On-Site Position Overview: The Configuration Technician is responsible for preparing IT equipment for deployment by performing pre-configuration tasks in accordance with documented instructions. This includes validating functionality, assembling kits, and ensuring quality standards are met prior to shipment. The role offers hands-on experience and growth potential within the IT industry. Key Responsibilities: * Provision and configure IT devices based on specific work instructions and customer requirements. * Perform basic kitting, unboxing, re-boxing, and processing of equipment for shipment. * Clean, test, and inspect devices to ensure proper functionality. * Escalate technical issues to supervisors when necessary. * Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions. * Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality control procedures. * Complete assigned tasks efficiently and cost-effectively. Required Skills & Attributes: * Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple low-complexity tasks independently. * Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. * Basic understanding of IT concepts and hardware components. * Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. * Ability to read and follow written instructions and scripts. Preferred Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED. * Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or training. * Valid driver's license. * Technical certifications are a plus but not required; willingness to pursue certifications is expected. Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 60 lbs. * Frequent standing, bending, and use of basic tools. * Comfortable working with cleaning solutions and rebuilding IT components. * Capable of typing, reading instructions, and communicating effectively. Technical Skills: * Basic Windows operating system knowledge. * Experience with hardware peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice). * Troubleshooting and technical support fundamentals. * Documentation and help desk support familiarity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brook Park, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
