Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Springfield, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will engage in regular patrols throughout a dynamic retail or mall location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will contribute to a welcoming environment by providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities occurring at the location.
• Support access control procedures and monitor ingress and egress points as required.
• Collaborate with local staff and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed written reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
