As a Security Guard - Access Control Driver in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role focuses on providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and manage access control points at the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain security-related protocols.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or leaving the premises, following site-specific procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access-related questions and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations observed at access control points.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support security-related operations and emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of access control equipment and report any malfunctions or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A minimum of five years of security-related experience is required.
• A minimum of two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
