Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Full-Time in Manhasset, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your routine patrols and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for guests and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or irregularities as encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control, monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Follow emergency response protocols as appropriate for the retail environment.
• Support a welcoming environment for customers and staff while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with loss prevention is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
