Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrols Unarmed in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a professional healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help to deter disruptive activity and maintain a welcoming presence for staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Report and document security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs according to procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and orderly environment.
  • Assist with managing access control by verifying credentials and guiding visitors as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of up-to-date vaccination in accordance with hospital policy is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
