Responsibilities

Ensure the integrity of Oracle financials and that internal/external reporting meets the needs of the business as well as generally accepted accounting principles. Ensure monthly close process is completed timely and accurately. Maintain the accuracy of the detail in the general ledger and inflows from subsystems. Provide financial and accounting support for ongoing Oracle developments and process initiatives. Provide ongoing business analysis of operations for assigned area of responsibility.

  • Responsible for the general ledger system to assure accuracy and compliance with general accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform the role of Oracle Super User for Oracle General Ledger, Oracle Projects and related modules to assure consistent and proficient operation of Oracle applications.
  • Assist with the annual budget process to assure that assigned departments follow the established budget guidelines.
  • Participate in and coordinate the preparation of the external audit work papers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4-5 years directly related experience, including 1-2 years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP, accounting process data flow, general ledger processes/functions, IRS requirements
  • Analytical skills to include: Financial statement analysis, Organizational budget preparation and analysis, monitoring, and measuring, Financial planning and forecasting, Financial trend analysis.
  • Computer Skills to include: Accomplished in the use of spreadsheet software, including tables and graphs; Working knowledge skill level of word processing and e-mail software; Working knowledge of financial software systems, processes and data flow.

  • Communication and teamwork skills to include: Effective verbal and written communications with various levels of staff; Ability to understand and work with ambiguity; Ability to understand and work with conflicting perspectives.
  • Project management skills to include: Ability to direct and facilitate project initiatives to completion in a timely manner on budget; Demonstration of efficiency and organization in personal work habits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle financial end-user experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Not-for-profit experience
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant
