Essential Duties:



  • Provide leadership in support, maintenance, and continuous optimization of N4 TOS, EDI systems, and TOS Web Portal.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements based on industry trends, technology advancements, and business needs.
  • Lead operational testing, release management, and deployment strategies for terminal and customer-facing applications.
  • Collaborate with business units, external partners, and internal stakeholders to innovate and continuously improve system solutions.
  • Create, document, and maintain test cases, training material, and technical documentation for all applications.
  • Support and troubleshoot TOS-related errors, GOS (Gate Operating System) issues, and initiate vendor support as needed.
  • Lead vendor relationships and contract management efforts with key technology providers (NAVIS, Newport Systems, TOS Web Portal, and Dockworks).
  • Participate in and contribute to Corporate Ops initiatives, meetings, and optimization projects.
  • Monitor version control, patch planning, new feature integration, and system enhancements.
  • Maintain and develop dashboards (Tableau & Splunk) for real-time monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of local site yard files in N4.
  • Participate in strategic planning efforts to align technology optimization with business objectives.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Director on all projects, initiatives, discussions, and plans.


Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Certifications):

Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience:


    • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in business applications and terminal technology support.
    • At least 2 years of experience supporting and deploying Terminal Operating Systems (TOS).
    • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated expertise in EDI, database administration (Oracle and MS SQL), and B2B integration solutions.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with RFID, OCR, wireless technologies, location tracking systems, and automated testing tools.
    • At least 2 years of experience leading multi-location technology implementations.

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and document business processes and develop test plans.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive approach to troubleshooting, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.


Working Conditions:



  • Primarily an office environment with occasional movement throughout marine terminal areas.
  • Participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation; the rotation operates on a five-week cycle for weekend coverage, with all team members participating.


  • Must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time to remote terminal sites.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain TWIC credentials.

PAY Transparency: Compensation: $140,000 - $155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
