Manager, Field Application Engineering, North America Status:Exempt (salaried) Department:Sales Position Summary The Manager, Field Application Engineering supportsbusiness development, sales, and product management in designingand implementinghydrogen-basedsolutions, includingelectrolyzer, liquefiers, cryogenic productsand fuel celltechnologies, for industrial, energy, andmobility applications. This positioninvolves gathering customer requirements, evaluating them against Plug's own offering and proposing solutions to customers. The ideal candidatecombines strongtechnical expertisewith excellentcommunicationand proven leadership skills. Core Duties andResponsibilities
- Identifyand define hydrogensystem solutions-including electrolyzer systems, fuelcells, and balance-of-plant equipment-for various customerapplications.
- Developtechnical proposalsand feasibilityassessments incollaborationwith sales, engineering, and productmanagement teams.
- Partnerwith OEM partners, integrators, and EPC contractorsto qualify andimplement hydrogenand electrolyzer technologies
- Lead a team of 5 field application engineers to deliver results against target
- Gather market intelligence and translate them into clear and concise requirements that can be used by product teams to develop products.
- Manage technicalaspects of the sales process, including filling out RFPs, representing Plug Power in front of clients as subject matter expert, and review technical guarantees in contracts
- Lead technicalreviews of RFPs and gapassessments forhydrogen projects, ensuring compliancewith relevant requirements and recommend best practices
- Maintain technicaldocumentationand support knowledgetransfer withinthe organization.
- Representthe company professionallywith clients, partners, andindustry stakeholders.
- Performother dutiessupporting hydrogenand clean energyinnovation asassigned.
Educationand Experience
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical,or electricalengineering;a master's degreepreferred.
- 7+ years ofrelevant engineeringexperience, preferablywithin hydrogenproduction, electrolyzer systems, orclean energytechnologies.
- 5+ years leading a team of engineers
- Strong projectmanagement backgroundand the abilityto drive cross-functional initiativesto completion.
- Excellentcommunicationand technicalwriting skills.
- Willingness to travelup to 30% tocustomer andproject sites.
- Strong commitmentto safety, quality, and professionalintegrity.
Location:Slingerlands NY preferred, but will consider other USA Locations Pay Rate:
$92,300.00 - $138,400.00
