Summary
We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in maintenance engineering and deep expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (SAP PM). This centralized role will support multiple manufacturing sites in developing and executing a standardized, data-driven asset reliability roadmap. The ideal candidate can operate at both strategic and tactical levels - aligning reliability initiatives across the network while ensuring successful on-the-ground implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a multi-site reliability strategy focused on asset performance, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Partner with site leadership, corporate engineering, and maintenance teams to define standards, best practices, and improvement goals.
- Identify, prioritize, and drive enterprise-wide initiatives such as criticality analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs, and lifecycle asset strategies.
- Develop, standardize, and optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs across all sites using a combination of failure data, OEM recommendations, and RCM principles.
- Build and maintain functional locations, BOMs, task lists, and maintenance plans within SAP PM to drive system integrity and efficiency.
- Validate and revise maintenance strategies based on performance analytics, inspections, and field feedback.
- Serve as the SAP PM subject matter expert (SME) for all manufacturing sites, ensuring system design aligns with asset management best practices.
- Support master data governance and lead improvement efforts for work order processes, notifications, planning, and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams on SAP upgrades, testing, and enhancement requests.
- Define and deploy enterprise KPIs such as PM compliance, MTBF, MTTR, planned work %, backlog, and asset availability.
- Use SAP data and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to track performance, identify gaps, and lead corrective actions.
- Create reporting dashboards and data-driven narratives to support executive decision-making.
- Develop and lead training programs for site-based planners, technicians, and reliability personnel to drive consistency and system adoption.
- Act as a coach and change agent, helping teams adopt reliability-centered maintenance practices and tools.
- Produce SOPs, knowledge guides, and communication materials to support cultural and procedural alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering roles, preferably supporting multiple plants or as part of a corporate team.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance, including hands-on experience with functional locations, BOMs, task lists, and maintenance plans.
- Demonstrated ability to build reliability strategies and execute them through cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience defining and tracking asset performance KPIs and leveraging insights for improvement.
- Travel up to 70% to our manufacturing sites in Twin Falls, ID, Central New York and Norton Shores, Michigan
- Preferred:
- Experience in multi-site manufacturing, particularly in food & beverage, CPG, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Familiarity with RCM, FMEA, FMECA, and asset criticality analysis methodologies.
- Experience with tools such as Power BI, Excel, Minitab, or similar analytics platforms.
- Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across levels and functions.
- Ability to influence without authority and lead cross-site standardization.
