The Role:

The Director, Dementia Care Specialists (DCS) is the thought leader for CPI's initiative to help create a 'Dementia Capable' society and is responsible for budget attainment, business positioning, and growth. This position is responsible for leading the DCS business to ensure that best practice interventions and training are delivered in an unparalleled manner, while expanding deeper into key market sectors, including long-term care, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, and home care.

What You Get To Do Everyday:

  • Deliver budgeted financial results (sales and EBITDA) for the DCS business.
  • Develop relationships with government, civil servants, decision makers, key professional bodies, and sector thought leaders to promote services and help grow DCS's business.
  • Monitor relevant regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and ensure programs and training are aligned.
  • Take part in and impact CPI's Senior Leadership team (SLT), using strong leadership skills.
  • Provide consultation services, train DCC programs, and deliver thought-driven presentations as required.
  • Develop customer and partner relationships, participating in Marketing and Sales activities; at times requiring travel.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in development projects.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor team members in all functional areas, advocating for professional development on behalf of the team.
  • Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
You Need to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Eight years or more of work experience in the senior living and/or home care end market
  • Experience meeting "profit and loss" budgets within small to medium-sized commercial organizations
  • Experience working in senior leadership positions in profitably growing businesses in relevant sectors to CPI
  • Therapy or other health profession licensure in the state of practice and residence
  • Self-starter, enthusiastic, can-do attitude, persistent, and tenacious
  • Strategic and can see "bigger picture" but equally good attention to detail
  • Excellent teambuilding skills with the ability to attract, develop, and retain a high-performing team
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities and authority effectively and to encourage individuals to decide how they will accomplish their goals and resolve issues
  • Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, writing, speaking, listening, and presentation skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability
