Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Forest, VA!
This role is ideal for a skilled technician who thrives in hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment optimization. Join a team where your expertise helps keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Pay & Schedule:



  • $24-$35/hr (based on experience)
  • Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM



What You'll Do



  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance (PM) on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Assist operators with maintenance requests and equipment setup for production
  • Execute equipment tear-downs, rebuilds, and fabrication as needed
  • Order, install, and manage replacement parts inventory
  • Respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to PM schedules
  • Train and mentor other technicians to foster a proactive maintenance environment
  • Ensure a safe, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols (lock-out/tag-out, HazCom, OSHA)



Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Experience with inserters, conveyors, bowes, forklifts, or press equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of predictive/productive maintenance programs and PM systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Proven leadership experience, including training and mentoring team members
  • Ability to run air lines, conduit, and wiring for new or relocated equipment
  • Comfortable performing physical duties, working independently, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
