Shipping Coordinator (Receiving)

Shift: Mondays-Thursdays 6:00am-4:30pm

Location: Ogden, UT (BDO)

Job Summary:

Receiving Coordinator oversee all receiving functions. They are responsible for unloading of trucks, palletizing and labeling tools, along with putting tools away.

Essential Functions:

  • Unloading of trucks
  • Understand all warehousing procedures
  • Effectively organize material from different customers on pallets
  • Safely put tooling away

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and define objectives
  • Must be detail oriented

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum two years of experience operating various forklifts with lifts up to 25,000 lbs. Must have experience with RF barcode scanners and associated equipment.

Essential Mental Functions:

Excellent team player skills. Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.

Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.

Essential Physical Functions:

Must be able to safely lift 50lbs.

Safety Requirements:

  • Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all the employer's safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

Equipment Used (but not limited to):

Ability to operate and maneuver a variety of equipment in tight positions (large and small forklifts, pallet jack). Computers and Printers. RF Bar Code Scanning Equipment.

Availability:

  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Travel:

Must be available and willing to travel as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Working Conditions:

Diverse environment that requires exposure to various weather conditions in and outside the facility.
