ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Perform subassembly inspection, unit testing and inspection, fixture testing and circuit board repair.

2. Trouble shoot to component level with equipment being tested.

3. Decide on allowable variations, determine cause and effect of malfunctions or defect.

4. Solve inspection problems encountered in process inspection and test.

5. Work with high voltages and currents.

6. Provide customer trouble shooting over telephone.

7. Requires occasional off-site service calls.

8. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.

9. Comply with all safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree in electronics/related field or equivalent experience. Requires one to three years' experience in electronics and electrical/mechanical functions. Experience up to three years required to become familiar with products, inspection and test principles and procedures to become proficient.

Language Skills

Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, bills of material and specifications. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one situations with other employees in the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Knowledge of blueprint interpretation and solid mathematical skills are essential.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Qualifications

Ability to operate various hand and power tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters and signal generators. Computer literate.
