About the position:

The UM Specialist performs Utilization Management activities which includes admission review, concurrent review, retrospective chart review and clinical systems review to measure clinical performance and Utilization Management issues that affect reimbursement for the patient's hospital stay or visit. Conducts medical record review; provides clinical information to the payer; collects and reports Utilization Management data; interacts with clinical team, Physician Advisor; and engages in special projects.

What you will bring:



  • BSN from an accredited nursing program and/or progressive Utilization Management or Case Management experience required
  • Minimum of three to five years RN experience; one year UM experience required, with preference for MCG knowledge and experience
  • Current and unrestricted Maryland or compact RN license
