Description

In the span of a few years, Skyworks' Filter technologies have advanced to be one of the leading suppliers in the field of high-frequency RF for wireless communications and timing applications. It is exciting to work in an area with such a real-world impact. As we continue to drive technology advancement, Skyworks is seeking a Technical Program Manager to oversee end-to-end execution of engineering development projects and ensure quality interception of an ever-expanding product pool.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for Technical/Business Program Management of multiple technology initiatives targeted at various segments of the RF communications markets. Our PMs lead multiple development teams (Process and Product R&D from conception to MP release, Product & Test Engineering, Foundry Eng, QA, Reliability, Operations, NPI/Supply Chain, Purchasing, etc.) to assure compliance with specifications, cost targets, critical milestones, prototype sample on-time deliveries, and successful transition to manufacturing. You will develop detailed project schedules and present project critical path status/issues/actions to Skyworks management and, where practical, lead customers. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills and an ability to retain critical information. In this position, you can make a uniquely large impact on the success of the company.
Our PMs are responsible for the growth and sustained success of the Filter Technologies business through process development and NPI processes with strategic organizational alignment and collaboration with functional organization partners throughout the company. A full understanding of customer needs, while driving productivity initiatives to ensure an efficient organization, and leading cross functional teams for root cause analysis and risk mitigation are all vital to success in this position.

Responsibilities

* Chairing weekly development team meetings across a multi-functional group
* Supporting material production and prototyping of samples
* Driving the resolution of technical issues to ensure product compliance / robustness against specs (customer & internal)
* Driving critical path schedule tasks and risk mitigation plans
* Supporting customer interaction through Product Line Leads, Product & Customer Mktg, Customer Quality, etc.
* Compliance to our product development process through internal / external audits
* Managing projects and tasks interdependencies to ensure operational excellent and on time delivery
* Presentations to senior management and other functional leads within the Business Units, Operations and Quality

Required Experience and Skills

* BS EE or related discipline + 5 years experience, MS + 3,MBA, or other related technical educationin project management or product engineering in the semiconductor industry
* Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and strong retention skills for critical information
* Demonstrated leadership skills specifically working in a matrixed organization
* A passion to win/contribute and a "do what it takes" attitude and approach to the position
* Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project S/W (Scheduling Skills)
* MS PowerPoint (Presentation Skills)
* Knowledge of Oracle's Agile PLM software is a plus

Desired Experience and Skills

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$170,100 -$339,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
