Position Description:
 
As an Education Program Coordinator I in the Graduate School you will perform routine and advanced administrative duties requiring considerable skill and in-depth knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, under general direction. Project a professional, courteous and friendly image with Graduate School staff, faculty, students and administration through in-person, phone and email communications.
Primary Functions
 
  - Serve as Orientation Lead, planning and executing onboarding for new graduate students
- Coordinate engagement activities designed to build community and promote student well-being (i.e., Toast Tuesday, Wellness Programming, Graduate Student Appreciation Week)
- Assist with planning for major student events such as the Poster Session, GSA Symposium, Commencement, Hooding Ceremony, and Faculty and Student Recognition Banquet.
- Coordinate the Peer Mentoring Program, Connection Groups, International Student Club, and Seminar Series (Coffee and Conversations) to support student connection and development.
- Coordinate Guest Speaker Series and other new initiatives that enrich the student experience.
- Serve as Student Events Lead for Graduate School-sponsored student affairs programming and collaborations.
  - Track matriculation requirements and ensure completion of student onboarding requirements.
- Support SPUR and PURE matriculation requirements, application processing and programming in collaboration with program directors and staff.
- Partner with program leadership to deliver student-centered events, seminars, and professional development activities.
  - Coordinate with the Immigration Specialist to develop and implement programming that supports international student success.
- Assist with Graduate School application processing and applicant communications, as assigned and in coordination with other team members.
- Other duties as assigned

Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis
Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Required Experience: 2 years of experience
