 Summary
            
 
             
 Responsible for leading day-to-day operations ofhydro testing.Manage the team'sdaily shift kick-off meetings, communicating goals, performance expectations, and safety topics.Ensure hydro testing activities meetquality assurance (QC) standards, customer specifications, and schedule commitments.Review job scope and communicate hydro durations to the Fabrication Planner; attendpre-fabrication meetings, KPI meetings, & WIP discussionsto align project requirements.Support the coordination oftransport and scheduling of spools and vessels to/from PWHT vendorsin alignment with welding, planning, and QA/QC teams.Support the coordinationmovementbetween Fabrication, NDE, Hydro, and Paint areas.Support thePost-Fab Senior Supervisorin maintaining departmental workflow and resolving cross-department bottlenecks.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
            
 Team Management & Development 
             
 Provide direction, feedback, and accountability for team members, including leads and technicians.Review and approve time entries inWFS, ensuring accuracy in pay details, cost centers, and compliance with deadlines.Assist with hiring processes, includingresume review, interviews, and testingof candidates.Recommend pay or level adjustments based on skill advancement or merit.Communicate regular performance feedback and manage disciplinary issues in coordination with HR and the Post-Fab Senior Supervisor.Ensure fair and strategicvacation planningto maintain operational capacity.
 Process & Performance Improvement 
             
 Identify and implementtraining programs, SOP improvements, and cross-training opportunities.Drive6SandSafety Programparticipation and accountability within the Hydro department.Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, deviations from schedule, and quality or safety incidents.Monitor and maintain calibration and proper functioning of all tools and equipment in the hydro area.Recommend and support process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce nonconformance or rework.
 Cross-Functional Communication 
             
 Communicate professionally and effectively with key departments including:
 
               
 Quality Control (QC)Authorized Inspector (AI)Planning, Engineering, and DesignHR, HSE, and WarehouseThird-party vendors and inspectorsProvide timely updates to the Post-Fab Senior Supervisor on team performance, schedule deviations, resource constraints, or escalated issues.Maintaining calibration & maintenance of tools and equipment in the assigned area.Ensuring your immediate work areas are kept clean and organized and that the needed equipment is available and in good working order.
 
Qualifications
            
 
             
 High School Diploma/GED required.Two-year technical diploma/vocational certificate desiredMinimum of 3 years of relevant industrial experienceBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusKnowledge of ASME codes a plusMust have knowledge of fabricating pipe spools and/or pressure vessels.Must be able to read and interpret and work from engineering drawings.Proficient computer knowledge with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and emailExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills.Previous experience leading teams of 10+ people is a plus.Demonstrable ability to lead and facilitate instructions to others.Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
