About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Director, Strategic Programs and M&A to support and enhance our Corporate Strategy, Business Development and M&A functions, reporting directly to the EVP of Strategy & Corporate Development. This role blends the creative capacity to develop forward-looking market insights with the rigor of cross-functional program management and financial analysis to reduce insights into actionable programs.

You will play a pivotal role in building the framework for assessing opportunities across market segments and business development opportunities and lead partnerships with cross-functional owners to build comprehensive playbooks driving robust growth and value capture processes. This role will be a highly visible member of the Strategy & Corporate Development team and will work closely with leaders across the company, including the Executive Leadership Team to build winning strategies and enhance organizational capabilities. This role is ideal for a forward-leaning individual seeking an opportunity to create a lasting impact in a high-growth and dynamic environment.

This role will be based in Solana Beach, CA with a requirement to be in office regularly to support iRhythm's EVP of Strategy and Corporate Development.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Market Insights:
    • Partner with internal stakeholders, develop future-looking market insights and investment themes to align our strategy with clear value creation programs.
    • Continuously monitor competitive dynamics, technology trends, and regulatory shifts to anticipate market disruptions and position iRhythm for long-term advantage.
  • Strategic Program Development:
    • Partner with internal stakeholders, create cross-functional programs and playbooks which advance the achievement of internal and external growth strategies aligning to our long-range strategic plan.
    • Train cross-functional quarterbacks and help govern program management overseeing priority programs.
  • M&A & Transaction Process Management:
    • Partner with Business Development, lead cross-functional teams and external advisors in supporting M&A and strategic transaction processes.
    • Provide structured analyses, strategic trade-offs, and recommendations to key stakeholders to inform investment decisions.
    • You will work directly with the EVP Strategy & Corporate Development in defining value capture hypotheses, designing diligence approaches, managing discovery processes and designing value-capturing integration.
    • Executive-level communication skills and familiarity with financial models and valuation methodologies are required.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Presentation:
    • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and materials, clearly articulating deal rationale, financial impact, risks, and recommendations.
    • Drive alignment and decision-making across senior stakeholders on key corporate priorities and investments.
  • Organizational Leadership and Culture Building:
    • Champion a culture of strategic discipline, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Model iRhythm's leadership competencies and actively contribute to organizational capability building and transformation initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by EVP, Strategy & Corporate Development.

What We Want To See

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA, PMP, or other relevant advanced credentials preferred
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience leading cross-functional teams in strategy consulting, integration management, or M&A - with an emphasis on managing intensive cross-functional programs such as M&A processes and integration, international market entry and/or stage gating.
  • Experience operating in a public medical device company is valued.
  • Experience in medical devices, digital health, medtech, investment banking or strategy consulting sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional projects (from concept through execution) and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to C-suite and executive audiences.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Estimated Pay Range

$200,000.00 - $260,000.00
