      | Position Highlights | The University of Arizona's department of Southwest Institute for Research on Women within the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences invites you to apply to the role of Health Educator. The University of Arizona Southwest Institute for Research on Women (SIROW; https://sirow.arizona.edu/) is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their team. SIROW is a resource and research institute that designs, implements, and evaluates community-collaborative projects to improve community well-being. The primary purpose of this position is to deliver an infectious disease prevention curriculum to youth enrolled in the Spectrum+ project. Spectrum+ provides infectious disease prevention and education services and substance use and co-occurring disorder screening, referral to treatment, and outreach and pretreatment services to 380 youth and young adults ages 12 to 24 in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. This position is supported by grant funding. Duration of the appointment is dependent on performance and budget availability.       | Duties & Responsibilities | Program Support and Outreach: 
        Assist with updates and adapting curriculum presentations toaccommodate a range of project participants.
Contribute to developingpresentations for educational workshops, outreach events, and conferences.
Communicate with agencies, schools, collaborators, and relevant entities tocoordinate Spectrum+ curriculum and other service delivery.
Maintaincommunication with participants to support curriculum completion and follow-up.
Ability to travel within and out of state. Curriculum Delivery:  
        Provide the SIROW Health Education forYouth (SIROW HEY) curriculum and workshops to service population.
Participatein ongoing training to enhance curriculum facilitation skills and expand
 knowledge.
 Other Program Activities and Support:  
        Facilitate youthparticipants' access to other Spectrum+ services.
Contribute to Spectrum +outreach efforts.
Contribute to Spectrum+ social media presence.Assistwith translation of materials into Spanish language as needed.
Cross-train ondata collection protocols and assist data collection as needed.
AssistSpectrum+ team members with other aspects of program delivery as needed.
 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
        Ability to work collaboratively with a team.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, etc.).Proficiency with developing social media content and navigating social media platforms.Experience working with youth of varying backgrounds.Experience delivering educational curriculums and ability to do so both in-person and virtually.Knowledge of infectious disease prevention and sexual health education.Ability to travel within and out of state.Bilingual English-Spanish.
